Was out and about last Saturday with my girls and we've decided to try Jean-Philippe Darcis at the Marina Bay Sands. The enticing glass counter will tempt you to take a look on their wide range of chocolates and macaron flavors. I'm writing this post now because they've succeeded and I gave in to temptation! It was after all a perfect place to hang out with the girls so it's a win-win situation.
The interior is something to check out as well. Filled with macarons in different representations. The first one is a macaron christmas tree. :) There are other stuff too. The divider made it more casual to me which is a good thing. And the stripey wall. Very chic.
The high tea experience will be incomplete without their unique tea selection. The containers actually reminded me of the urn The Undertaker's partner carried around. I'm sure you remember that if you watched WWF wrestling matches during the 90s. Click here to remember :p Sorry...off topic. LOL!
We ordered a set of macarons (chocolate, pistachio, strawberry, hazelnut, almond). The hazelnut would have to be my fave.
D ordered the Sweet Crepe in Caramel Sauce with Vanilla and Hazelnut Ice Cream, toasted nuts and Chantilly cream. It was spot on delish!
The scrambled eggs in the Sausage and Toast is just sooo creamy! <3
As I am in my green tea phase, I tried their Melon Dew tea which is a Japanese Green Tea with Aroma of Summer Ripened Melons. Hmm...nothing really special here but I knew nothing can go wrong choosing green tea so no expectations.
I'm no food expert and I have only tried Bakerzin and Canele's macarons so far. All in all, I would say that it was a great experience with the girls. Place was awesome and I'm looking forward to sit on the purple sofa next time. :)
